GigPlaner becomes CrewBrain
In the past years, GigPlaner has developed from a simple scheduling tool for events to a comprehensive tool for a wide range of personnel topics in the event industry. No matter if you need a calculation of requirements, project and event planning, employee administration, accounting, time recording and much more - with GigPlaner we offer you a complete solution for your personnel planning.
Now that we have been offering and developing GigPlaner for more than 8 years, it is time for us to take the whole platform to the next level. And that's why I'm pleased to present our vision for the future of workforce planning today: CrewBrain.
With CrewBrain we will continue the success story of GigPlaner and at the same time we want to set a clear sign for the future viability and the consistent further development of our product. I would like to give you a first preview of the innovations you can expect with CrewBrain in this update info. In the coming weeks you will also have the opportunity to personally take a first look at CrewBrain.
With CrewBrain we are creating a new brand that focuses exactly on the core competence of our software: the planning of events and the management of internal and external personnel with all related functions. In the future, we will place this brand even more on the international market in order to expand our current growth in new markets. CrewBrain will gradually replace the previous name and will later replace it completely.
For CrewBrain we have not only redesigned our corporate identity, but also the user interface of our software, both technically and visually. The new layout is only the first step, as it allows us to offer more variants and to develop new features faster and easier. In the next few weeks, we will gradually activate the new layout for all users as an option, whereby both layouts can be used in parallel during the transition period. The time for the complete changeover from GigPlaner to CrewBrain can be determined by each customer later on. We will contact the respective contract persons about the exact procedure.
The development does not stand still for CrewBrain and of course we will provide new features as usual in short intervals. Features we are currently working on for CrewBrain are a complete history and logging of changes, the possibility to divide a company into departments and use these to control the permissions for views and approvals, and an additional access variant where employees do not have access to the system but can still be requested by e-mail. As soon as these features are available, we will inform you as usual via update info.
...at this point we actually wanted to invite you to our booth at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, so that you can get a first impression on CrewBrain. However, due to the new Coronavirus Covid-19, the show has been postponed to May and in the meantime it has unfortunately been completely cancelled.
But also independent of the show we are available for any questions and are looking forward to your feedback on CrewBrain, the new layout and the new features we will release in the next versions. And of course we are already looking forward to Prolight + Sound 2021, which will hopefully take place again as planned from 13th - 16th March 2021 in Frankfurt.
