New filters, better overview, and smarter planning with the new CrewBrain update
Dear customers,
The festival summer is already over in many places and the holiday season is slowly coming to an end – the perfect moment to kick off the final sprint of the year with a CrewBrain update.
Our developers have been busy over the summer and have created a new version with many small optimizations and enhancements that some customers have been requesting for quite some time. We are pleased to announce that we can now complete some of the roadmap items that you voted for.
The changes and enhancements included in the update will be available to all customers as usual starting tomorrow. However, we would like to present the individual points in detail below.
We wish you continued success with CrewBrain.
Your CrewBrain team
Upgrade for the request dialogThis version of our request dialog features several new filter and sorting options. This makes it even easier to find people who, for example, need to be scheduled more frequently based on their workload. |

OverlapsThere is now a separate filter for checking for overlaps. This filter can be used to filter out individuals who have overlaps and who are therefore unlikely to be deployed. |
FlexitimeThe results can now be sorted by current flexitime balance if desired. This allows employees with extremely high or low flexitime balances to be considered separately. |
Percentage of working timeThis sorting option allows employees to be sorted based on the scheduled achievement of their target working hours. Since the sorting is done on a percentage basis, it is easy to quickly find those individuals who still need to be scheduled. |
Total working timeThis sorting ignores the percentage of target working time, allowing sorting based solely on the number of planned hours in a month. |
O365-Sync & iCalIn the last major update, we introduced the new sync with Office 365. We have now added additional configuration options for this sync and also expanded the functionality of our iCal subscriptions. |

Visibility of O365 appointmentsVacations and absences were transferred to O365 as “private appointments” by default. In the future, the desired visibility can be configured individually under My Account > O365 for jobs and vacations. |
iCal subscription without booking statusA frequently expressed request in support was the creation of iCal subscriptions without displaying personal booking status. This way, every user can now create iCal subscriptions for all projects and jobs without publishing their own booking status. |
CrewBrain-API v2Our API v2 will also continue to be expanded. The new version now offers comprehensive access to task management, and we have also made it possible to access additional information on personnel, vehicles, customers, and locations directly and to change this information as required. |

Statements & Time recording - SurchargesDetermining the expected payment amount is particularly relevant when planning with restricted employment types. Until now, surcharges have always been included in this calculation, even if some of them are not relevant to the mini-job limit. In future, it will therefore be possible to specify for each salary component whether it is relevant to the salary limits. This will optimize the projection and surcharges will be calculated according to the configuration. |
