Baden-Baden - After more than one and a half years of development, CrewBrain is releasing a completely new version of the Project & Job Dialog. The new generation of the dialog was specifically developed for the requirements of large-scale productions and complex projects and significantly accelerates daily planning processes in many areas.

At the center of the update are completely new planning views that make working with CrewBrain much more intuitive and efficient. For example, the new Gantt view enables modern workforce scheduling directly within the timeline: staff can be assigned flexibly to jobs via drag & drop, and changes can be made immediately.

“Our goal was not simply to keep optimizing the existing dialog over and over again,” explains Sven Schlotthauer, Managing Director of CrewBrain GmbH. “We completely rethought the entire technical foundation in order to make planning large projects significantly faster and clearer.”

New planning views for complex projects
The new dialog generation is aimed particularly at customers with extensive projects and many interconnected jobs. A new structure tree visualizes main jobs and all associated subjobs in a clear hierarchy, enabling much faster navigation within complex project structures.

In addition, users benefit from significantly improved performance. Thanks to the complete technical redevelopment, the new dialog responds noticeably faster than the previous version - even for large projects with many employees, resources, and subjobs.

“Especially in large productions, speed often determines efficient workflows,” explains Eva Pennekamp, responsible for sales at CrewBrain. “With the new views, we significantly reduce many work steps while simultaneously creating greater transparency in planning.”

Beta rollout starts in several phases
The rollout of the new Project & Job Dialog will initially take place as a beta version and will be activated gradually. Activation will occur on a company-by-company basis. Within an activated company, each user can then individually decide whether to use the previous dialog or the new one. In addition, the old dialog can still be opened directly from within the new version at any time.

When enabling access, CrewBrain is prioritizing customers who actively register for the beta phase. Registration can be completed directly within the system under “My Account > Settings > New Features”.

With the beta rollout, CrewBrain aims to specifically gather practical feedback in order to further optimize the new planning tools together with customers and continuously expand additional features.
