AI power for the event industry: CrewBrain becomes AI-ready

Baden-Baden – Artificial intelligence (AI) is finding its way into more and more areas of life. This also applies to business applications such as CrewBrain. The web-based personnel planning solution now offers direct integration with any AI tools using a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

“Over the past few months, we have been asked repeatedly about the possibilities for AI integration in CrewBrain,” comments Eva Pennekamp, responsible for sales at CrewBrain, on the innovation. “With the implementation and provision of the MCP server, our customers can now create any AI integrations using common models such as ChatGPT or Claude, and even use their own models.”  

The solution now available offers many advantages, particularly with regard to data protection: “Since we rely on the standardized and widely used MCP protocol, our customers can not only use the integration with popular AI models, but also deploy their own AI models,” explains Sven Schlotthauer, Managing Director of CrewBrain GmbH. “This is particularly relevant for customers who, for example, work in the public sector, where data protection and data storage requirements are very high. Such a level of data protection would not be possible with the most widely used AI models such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini.”

There are few limits to the range of functions that AI integrations can perform, as Simon Claussen, who is responsible for support at CrewBrain and primarily responsible for AI integration, adds: "With the help of the MCP server, we offer AI models full access to all functions of our CrewBrain API. This allows an AI model to access all functions that are already available via our API. Possible applications include digital assistants for generating data or even for independently swapping shifts between employees."
